In this episode, we're heading north to the Yukon for a grueling survival and paddling race through some of the most remote wilderness on the planet.

Launched  in July of 2009, the Yukon 1000 retraces the historic Klondike Gold Rush route from Whitehorse, Canada, to the Dollar/Pipeline Bridge on Alaska's Dalton Highway. Developed by Peter Coates with GPS tracking and now led by former British military serviceman Jon Firth, the Yukon 1000 is considered the world's longest endurance paddle event.

We're talking roughly 1,000 miles of wilderness, cold water, unpredictable weather, wildlife, sleep deprivation, and days spent completely immersed in the environment—with very zero outside assistance.

Bob Egbert and Paul Sibley are two friends who long had this adventure on their bucket list. Listen as we talk story about their journey down the majestical Yukon River.
